Car Crash Leads To Local Celebrity Deaths

Most people use their cars to go to work, pick up children, go grocery shopping, or enjoy the scenery. We like to believe that everyone driving is sober or feeling some balance in their day. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Our Philadelphia car accident attorneys at Solomon, Sherman & Gabay know the stories too well. We have helped countless clients and their families attempt to gain back some normalcy to their day after experiencing a tragic car accident. Today we want to share the sad story of the beloved South Philadelphia String Band.

A Suicidal Driver Survives

It was around 1:45 Am when the Philadelphia police arrived on the scene to what looked like a head-on collision. There were four people in an Acura SUV and one in an Audi Sedan who showed multiple stab wounds. The four people in the SUV were one couple that recently got engaged; the other was the driver, who was the son of the captain of the string band. The fourth surviving passenger was the wife of the driver. The man driving the Audi was said to have swerved into the SUVs lane and caused a head-on collision.

Police reported that they found a 10-inch knife covered with blood inside the vehicle. It seems as if the Audi driver stabbed himself several times before losing control of his car. The drive of the Audi survived the car crash. Families were devastated, and the suicidal driver is being investigated with criminal charges.
